JSC Cherepovetsles became the winner of All-Russian Forest Industry Award Lesprom.ru in the nomination "For significant contribution in environment protection".

This is the second award given to Cherepovetsles. In 2005 the company was marked in the nomination "Effective forest management".

The premium Lesprom.ru is awarded to the timber industry companies and the journalists who have made special contributions to the development of the Russian forest industry. This premium was initiated by the information-trading system Lesprom.ru.

The awards ceremony was held on April 20th, 2006 in Moscow in the National hotel.
