Forest management

The concern for the preservation of the richness and diversity of nature is considered by the “Cherepovetsles” Company to be one of the main conditions of its activity. The holding has adopted and consistently implements an environmental policy, according to which the development of cutting areas is carried out on the principle of sustainable forest management.

The entire leased area is under our constant responsibility. This form of forest management actually excludes unauthorized harvesting and other types of illegal forest management, excludes uncontrolled wood sales.

Harvesting is carried out using Scandinavian technology, which leads to a process similar to the natural process of changing generations of trees. The holding enterprises take an active part in reforestation. Every year an in-depth cleaning of cutting areas from felling residues, soil preparation and windfalls removing are carried out.
