The regional vocational guidance competition "Young forester" was held on the basis of the Cherepovets Forestry Technical School
The traditional regional career guidance competition "Young Forester" was attended by students of grades 6 — 9 of schools in the Vologda region, including members of school forest districts. The students performed practical tasks on modern portable simulators of John Deere logging machines and a Komatsu forwarder, which in 2020 were transferred to the technical school by Cherepovetsles Holding as part of a project to train operators of logging machines and to strengthen the training and production base.
The contest was organized by the Department of Forestry and the Department of Education of the Vologda region and supported by the largest timber producers of the region. The Cherepovetsles holding company as a representative of the employer and sponsor of the competition supported young foresters.
Following were awarded diplomas of the winners:
- first place — Matvey Chervyakov, Sovetsky villiage, Totemsky district;
- second place — Daniil Trenin from the Ust-Kubinsk center of education;
- third place — Savva Tsvetkov from school No. 8 Vologda.
The following contestants were selected in separate categories by the decision of the jury:
- "The best logging machine operator" — Maxim Miroshnichenko, MOU "Nelazskoe school" Shulma village;
- "The best tractor technology expert" — Ruslan Romanov, MAOU "Secondary general education School No. 16", Cherepovets;
- "Best theoretical training" — Valeria Savka, MBOU "Sovetskaya basic general education school", Sovetsky village, Totemsky district.
Thanks to such competitions, children get acquainted in advance with the specialties of the forest industry and can connect their profession with the forest in the future. Cherepovetsles Holding Company congratulates all young foresters!
